When heavy-duty and fleet vehicles began implementing Advanced Emissions Systems into their engines, the under-hood temperatures rose to a point where existing coolant hoses couldn’t handle such temperatures. Gates® developed the Sever Service Silicone Coolant Hose to go in and keep working in temperatures up to +260°C (+500°F).
