    IVO JUREK

    Chief Executive Officer

     

    Ivo Jurek joined the Gates Corporation as Chief Executive Officer in May 2015 after spending the entirety of his career in the industrials area, both in the US and internationally where he has held senior leadership positions at some of the world's leading industrial companies. Immediately prior to assuming his role at Gates, Ivo served as President of Eaton's Electrical business in Asia Pacific. He served as Group President at Cooper Industries and a President at Cooper Bussmann. Prior to joining Cooper, he spent 10 years with International Rectifier Corporation, a leading power semiconductor company holding significant general management positions in their automotive and electronic motion systems businesses. He also spent over eight years at TRW Automotive in various leadership positions. His vision for Gates going forward includes his commitment to growth, innovation, and operational excellence.

    BROOKS MALLARD

    Chief Financial Officer

     

    L. Brooks Mallard has served as our Chief Financial Officer since February 2020. He has broad experience in corporate and operational finance, having joined Gates from Henniges, a global supplier of highly engineered sealing and anti-vibration systems, where he served as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Henniges, Brooks was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Jeld-Wen, where he helped transition the company from private to public ownership through an initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange. He also has held senior financial leadership roles with TRW, Cooper Industries, Thomas & Betts and Briggs & Stratton during his 25-year career. Brooks earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Master of Business Administration from Georgia Southern University.

    WALT LIFSEY

    Chief Operating Officer

     

    Walt Lifsey joined Gates Corporation as Chief Operating Officer in August 2015 from View Inc., a world-class manufacturer of intelligent windows. He has more than 30 years' experience in operations, marketing, finance, and information systems in such diverse industries as semiconductor, automotive, defense, and building products. Prior to his engagement at View, Walt served as COO of Atmel Corporation, a $1.5B semiconductor company, where he led the global operations team. Prior to joining Atmel, he was Executive Vice President of Operations at International Rectifier Corporation; Director of Global Marketing and Planning for AMP Inc.; and held various operational and financial management positions at TRW Corporation. He holds a BA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

    CRISTIN BRACKEN

    Chief Legal Officer 

     

    Cristin is responsible for all legal functions for Gates Corporation, including securities and corporate governance, M&A, litigation, regulatory, compliance, patents and trademarks, real estate, employment and labor, and environmental matters. She joined the company in January 2017, previously serving as its Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, Compliance and Litigation. She has 27 years of experience as a lawyer specializing in compliance, complex litigation, risk management, regulatory, commercial agreements and transactions, and employment law for public and private equity-backed corporations. Prior to joining Gates, Cristin held senior legal leadership roles in both the oil and gas and energy trading industries at companies such as SM Energy Company, Forest Oil Corporation and Dynegy Inc. She also previously served as an Assistant District Attorney in Houston, Texas.  She graduated from the University of Texas School of Law and began her legal career at Fulbright & Jaworski LLP in its Dallas office. Cristin also has a Bachelor of Liberal Arts (English Literature) degree from the University of California at Los Angeles.  

    TOM PITSTICK

    Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer

     

    Tom Pitstick serves as Chief Marketing Officer for the company with responsibility for the global marketing and product line functions around the world. Tom joined Gates as Senior Vice President, Innovation with responsibility for all Research & Development and Product Line Management around the world while driving closer alignment between what our end market customers need and the new, innovative products we engineer. He comes from the Electrical Sector of Eaton Corporation where he served as Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, Electrical Sector. He also led the Business Development efforts at Cooper Industries prior to the merger with Eaton and has also worked in leadership roles for two different startup companies. Tom holds advanced business and engineering degrees from Stanford University and an undergraduate degree in engineering from Notre Dame University.

    ROGER GASTON

    Executive Vice President, Human Resources

     

    Roger Gaston joined Gates Corporation as Senior Vice President of Human Resources in August of 2016 from Avaya, a multibillion dollar enterprise under PE ownership where he served as Chief Human Resources Officer. An accomplished HR professional with significant experience in the public and private equity sectors, Roger has served as global head of HR for Storage Technology Corp. and SVP of HR for Toys R Us, Inc. among several other commercial enterprises. At Gates, Roger works to build and enhance the Gates HR function globally. He oversees talent management, recruiting, benefits, maintaining a healthy workforce, and talent development. Roger has been recognized for his work as an HR leader by being named "CHRO of the Year" in 2013 by the HRO Association. He holds a BA in Psychology and Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace College.

    MICHAEL RHYMES

    Chief Information Officer

     

    Michael Rhymes joined Gates Corporation as Chief Information Officer in October 2015 with responsibility for all IT operations globally for the company. In his role, Michael leads a global team of IT professionals in setting the strategic direction, execution, and support of Gates information systems infrastructure, security, and network operations. Michael has also held senior IT positions with Eaton Corporation, Cooper Industries, and Cap Gemini. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a MBA from Texas A&M University.

    GRANT GAWRONSKI

    Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer

     

    Having joined Gates in December 2017, Grant Gawronski is responsible for all commercial operations in The Americas and EMEA regions, and the company’s global oil and gas business. Prior to joining Gates, Grant served as President, Electrical Industrial and Infrastructure for Eaton Corporation from 2012 to 2017. In that role, he oversaw a portfolio that included global oil and gas business units, the power quality business unit and all Eaton electrical business units in Latin America and Canada. He has also served in numerous leadership roles at Cooper Industries, including Group President responsible for the Cooper Crouse-Hinds, Cooper Safety, and Cooper B-Line organizations, and has held a several leadership positions within General Electric, including GM Six Sigma Quality and GM Asia Pacific Operations for the lighting channel. Grant holds a Bachelor of Arts from Thiel College in Accounting/Business Administration and an MBA from Cleveland State University. 

    JOSEF PARZHUBER

    President, EMEA

     

    Josef joined Gates in May 2020, assuming responsibility for Gates’ strategic direction and business performance in the EMEA region. Since 2011, Josef worked for Mann + Hummel in successive leadership roles including President & General Manager for its global automotive aftermarket business, Group Vice President & CEO for Mann + Hummel Asia-Pacific, and Group Vice President for the global water filtration business unit. Prior to joining Mann + Hummel, Josef held progressive responsibility at Robert Bosch in Europe and China, where he built the company’s automotive aftermarket business from inception, holding the distinction of being the company’s first automotive aftermarket employee in China. A native of Germany’s Bavaria region, Josef graduated from Passau University with a degree in business management. 

    WEI SHEN

    Vice President, General Manager Gates Greater China

     

    Wei Shen joined Gates Corporation as Vice President/General Manager of Gates Greater China in January 2016 with responsibility for all Gates business activities in China. Prior to Gates, Shen was with Eaton Electrical Sector where he held a number of senior management roles including positions of VP GM Distributed Power Quality, VP Sales Ops and Power Quality Marketing, and Business Unit Manager for distributed Power Quality SBU. Wei holds a MS in engineering management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), an MS in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Michigan, and a BS in control engineering from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

    TS KHOO

    Vice President, East Asia

     

    TS Khoo joined Gates as Vice President, East Asia in January 2016 and leads the commercial teams across the East Asia region comprising five zones: Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, Australia, and India and is responsible for driving demand, orders, customer service, logistics, and warehousing. TS was previously with Eaton Electrical Sector where he held the role of VP Sales and Operations for East Asia. He is recognized across the industry and region for delivering sales and leadership excellence. He holds a diploma in computing and certifications in APICS and CPIM.
