STD formed a joint partnership with a local company, Cong Ty Vat Tu Van Tai Va Xep Do, to open their 2nd Gates Construction Shop in Cam Pha, Vietnam on 15th November 2002.

Cam Pha is a small town located at northern part of Vietnam & it is famous for its rich coal mining resources.  The setting up of this Construction Shop was aimed at coping with the special needs of these end-users in the mining areas, to provide them with a complete solution with regards to all industrial & hydraulic hoses & most importantly to provide them with a complete range of Gates premium products. Together with STD expertise and experience in the hydraulic hose business, they will be able to venture into the vast potential of the mining industry.

The new facility provides the miners peace of mind in terms of product quality at competitive pricing.

Hose assemblies supplied by Gates’ Construction Shop adopt Gates’ full system selling which ensure all equipment are installed with OEM equivalent compatible products. Besides product quality, the facility is also able to offer our QuickPic and AIM software. These software databases facilitate parts inventory management as well as cross referencing.

All sales staff and hose assemblers were also technically trained by Gates qualified trainers. And Gates Safe Hydraulics program is also available for end user upon request in Cam Pha.
