On November 11, the first Gates construction distributor outlet in China was officially opened by Mr. Jay Guddat, Regional Managing Director for Asia Pacific, in the ancient capital of Xian, home to the world-famous terra-cotta warriors. The District Director of local municipal council and some thirty distinguished guests witnessed the opening ceremony during which Mr. Liu Zengmin, the owner of the Shaanxi Victory Co. Ltd. and Mr.Paul Lee, Marketing Director of Gates Greater China and Southeast Asia signed the construction distributorship agreement on behalf of each company.

According to the agreement, Shaanxi Victory Co., a well established distributor of Gates automotive belts and other world class brand products, and Gates Rubber Company will form a regional business partnership to tap the fast growing construction equipment parts market in Xian and its nearby region by implementing the Gates Construction Distributor Program  which features the industry's prestigious Safe Hydraulics Training Program and the state-of-arts construction parts database QUICK-PIC and inventory management software AIM.

The Shaanxi Victory Construction shop facilities, equipped with Gates PC3000B crimping Machine, PC206 cutter and a balanced selection of Gates spiral and wire braid hoses and couplings, is capable of providing fast and quality part service to meet the local market needs. To ensure the success of the program, Shaanxi Victory's staff had received training on Gates products and Safe Hydraulics by Gates staff both from USA and China.
