Liu Jian Min, owner of the successful Shaanxi Victory construction shop in Xian, China, opened a sixth construction ship in Beijing, China in August, making it the 24^th Gates construction shop in China. The shop is located in the heart of the local construction equipment industry.

About 28 guests from the local construction industry attended the opening, which included keynote speeches, ribbon cutting and signing ceremonies, a company and product introduction, as well as a Safe Hydraulics training seminar. Liu Jian Min was also appointed the first Safe Hydraulics Certified Trainer in China.

A highlight of the event was the unveiling of “Building the World with Gates” and “Construction Distributor” logos in Chinese. In line with our focus, the globe on the logos was rotated to clearly show the map of China.

The opening is very well timed. The shop will be able to provide key support to the local building industry, which will be under great time constraints to complete major construction projects for the 2008 Olympic Games, which Beijing hosts that year. 

In the master plan of the Olympics Games, approximately $2 billion will be invested in new buildings and venues. According to the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (Bocog), 30 of the 35 competition venues that have to be either newly built or extensively renovated and expanded are in Beijing.

Most of the construction projects must be completed by the end of 2006. With the Beijing Xijingsheng shop in place, end-users of construction equipment will be able to get Gates hose and connector products that will help to reduce machine down time even in extreme environmental conditions. Customers will also benefit from Xijingsheng’s local presence and expertise as well as local stock availability.
