Gates Corporation to close Charleston, Missouri manufacturing facility



Denver, CO– Gates Corporation announced today it will close its Charleston, Missouri fluid power manufacturing facility in response to the continued challenging economic climate and ongoing pressures to remain competitive.

“This is a very difficult decision for any company to make, especially because of the impact on our workforce,” said Scott Day, Vice President, Manufacturing. “We want to thank our employees in Charleston for their hard work and service to the Company, and to assure them that Gates will make every effort to communicate effectively and support them through these necessary steps.
