IIPE Seminar

Gates Aftermarket team conducted a technical seminar in association with Indian Institution of Plant Engineers (IIPE), West Bengal Chapter in Kolkata in September. The audience consisted of IIPE members to whom a presentation regarding hydraulic solutions on hose assembly and fluid conveyance products was delivered by Mr. Raj Iyer, Business Manager, After Market. The Seminar was organized jointly by IIPE, West Bengal Chapter with Gates team represented by Mr. Ashwin Bengali, RM East, and Mr. Sandeep Kumar Dubey, ASM, North-East, along with Mr. Iyer. Mr. Iyer handled the post-seminar queries of the IIPE members and explained the applications of Gates Products with use of samples and Product Literature. A formal dinner followed the seminar, which made the session more interactive and valuable.

Seminar at Gammon

To strengthen Brand recall and product demand generation Gates conducted an in-house seminar at Gammon India Ltd in the second week of August. Gammon is one of the major companies undertaking infrastructural development activity within the Eastern region. The company is executing the Brahmaputra Bridge Project as well as the Water Supply project of Guwahati.

The seminar was presented by Mr. Ashwin Bengali, RM East and Mr. Sandeep Kumar Dubey, ASM, North-East, to an audience consisting of the technical staff along with personnel from stores and purchase. The initial emphasis of the seminar was on Hose construction and assembly functioning, focusing on Gates products and their USPs. The approach of the seminar was open-house and interactive to facilitate the application understanding and know-how. The event went well with Interactive participation and recall of Gates line of products where queries related to service life, storages, application (HEMM) etc. Stress was laid on existing and upcoming range of products inclusive of 'One piece Megacrimp with C insert' offered by Gates. Comparative analysis of Gates products was discussed in terms of pricing and existing low-end competitions which concluded that Gates Complete solution approach helps in decreasing the Total Cost of ownership.

JCB Meet

We take pride in the fact that JCB - India's market leader in Earthmoving Equipments - is our biggest customer. The latest Technical seminar was a step in the direction of various VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) activities being taken up with customers. A pioneering initiative by the Gates Application Engineering and Technical Team, this was focused on "Hydraulic Port to Port Solutions".

The seminar was conducted at Hotel Claridges in Surajkund near Faridabad where all the concerned Engineers from JCB Ballabhgarh and Pune plants attended the programme. The JCB Cross Functional Team comprised of departments like Engineering, Quality, Production and Service, all of whom welcomed to initiative.

The major topics covered during the session were basic Hoses & Couplings, Assembly Procedures, Correct Hose Installations, Routing Practices, New Upcoming Products and their Benefits etc. This was a step towards educating the customer as also to understand their issues and concerns while providing them the best of solutions. The participants from varying background and experience made the session highly interactive and informative.

Aurangabad Customer Meet

A Customer meet was organized at Aurangabad, Maharashtra in Oct-2010 where in most of the reputed aftermarket dealers & Institutional Customers attended the Meet.

Gates displayed it Latest launch products & complete service solutions to the present gathering with Mr. Rajsekhar (BD Mgr), Mr S. Narula (India- Mktg Mgr) & Mr S Shetty Local RM presented Gates On going Range, New launches & complete Service solutions to the Customers.

The response was fantabulous to the meet which was followed by Open session for Q&A & Cocktail Dinner.

Technical Seminar at Guwahati, Assam

This Seminar organized by Gates was attended by local fleet-owners, rig machine owners and people from the surrounding industry. Every body was thrilled to attend and wanted to know the best practices related to Hydraulic Hose & Assemblies.

INCA'09 & Gates Seminar , Kochi
International Industrial and Machinery Expo (INCA'09) was organised for SSI sector in Kerala, where we participated with our Kochi Distributor M/s INDUS TRADE LINKS, showcasing the Gates product range. Concurrently, Gates aslo organised a TECHNICAL SEMINAR alongwith M/s INDUS. Both events attracted key participants and visitors from various industries viz. Refinery (KRL), Shipyard, Container Terminal, Apollo Tyres, Retreaders, Pneumatics & Hydraulics, and Earth Moving sparts segment.
