Gates Complete Spiral Launch

To meet the needs of a burgeoning industry, Gates launched its Complete Spiral Solutions at a mega-event in Mumbai, India. With the growth in economy, sale of high end and capital intensive Construction Equipment is on the rise. Considerable growth is being demonstrated in the Heavy Earthmoving and Mining Machinery segment and is a derivative of increased focus and investments vis-a-vis Infrastructure and Construction sectors. Although Hydraulic Hoses in particular and Fluid Conveyance in general find myriads of applications across the industrial canvass, but the spiral hose finds significant consumption by construction equipment segment.

Setting high standards in technology and R&D, and in order to meet the vast demands of the industry, Gates Complete Spiral Hoses & Couplings were launched in the presence of key customers and OEMs at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Mumbai, on 19th Jan, 2011. The importance of the event is evident from the fact that to support this endeavour Mr David Gau, President, Global Fluid Power Division, Gates Corporation, USA took out his time and graced the occasion. He was accompanied by Mr Nitin Kaul, Director Tomkins. and Mr. Jaideep Wadhwa, President, Tomkins (I&A) India.

Gates Spiral Hoses were available earlier as well but complete solution package was missing, With the inclusion of GS (Global Spiral) Couplings, a complete solution offering is now available, Crimped to Gates Specs – ensuring the benefits of highly advanced Gates Interface Technology being available to the market. These advanced products offer many Features, Advantages and Benefits for the customers. At the launch event, technical presentations and USPs of the products were highlighted by different speakers and audience asked pertinent questions. Gates India also showcased its strengths through two Audio Visual films made especially for the occasion. A special inaugural scheme was announced to motivate the customers to experience the benefits of Gates System in Extreme High Pressure applications. Gates also took feedback from the august gathering on how to further improve its products and services.

A Distributor Meet was scheduled for the next day pre lunch session, ie. 20th Jan., 2011 – a gathering of Gates Distributors who are the major promoters of Gates Spiral Hoses and System across the country. This also included an Awards presentation where high-performers & achievers from amongst the Channel Network were honored by Mr David Gau, while Mr Bhandari announced the special scheme for distributors and also thanked all guests for sparing their valuable time. Once again team games and fun activities kept the visitors engrossed and after lunch at the Taj, everybody was taken over to a cruise for the evening where light entertainment, song and dance awaited them in all frolic.
