Micro V®
Gates achieved a technological breakthrough on Micro V® multi-ribbed belts for accessory drive applications with the EPDM technology.


Crankshaft Dampers
Gates uses a patented spun steel manufacturing process that provides optimal design flexibility to produce hubs from a single piece of steel.


Modules
Gates is uniquely positioned to provide accessory drive modules as Gates is the only supplier able to provide all components made in-house.


E3 Drive System
Gates provides OEMS with two solutions in the family including a belt drive system and gear based system.


Idlers/Pulleys
Gates produces accessory and synchronized idler assemblies ranging from grove idlers to back side idlers in both plastic and steel Pulleys: Gates designs and manufacturers power steering and water pump pulleys for major OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.


Tensioners
Gates provides a wide range of tensioner products for both Accessory and Synchronous Drive Systems. Gates product portfolio includes a multitude of dampening capabilities and sizes. We are able to provide a solutions for all engine sizes, packaging requirements, and desired performances.


E-M Drive System
Gates’ advances in higher capacity EPDM Micro-V® belts and tensioners are driving Gates’ pioneering research and development in Belt-driven Starter Generators (B-ISG). Gates’ new Electro-Mechanical Drive (EMD) System allows starter-generator systems to use an advanced belt drive for almost completely silent vehicle start-up.
