Business Intelligence Analyst (m/f)
 
Job 
As Business Intelligence Analyst, you:
 
·         meet with business users and project sponsors in order to understand and document business requirements, data models, data mapping specifications, and data definition (metadata) documents.
·         analyze and understand the details of various business processes and how they relate to BI and the ERP systems.
·         meet with our ERP experts in order to map data from the business requirements specification to data models.
·         meet with Gates personnel throughout the region, as needed, in order to document requirements and both business and technical specifications necessary.
·         meet with the development teams based in US and India in order to clarify issues with any mapping specifications provided.
·         translate together with the DataBase Administrator the logical data models into physical data models.
·         work with the Business Intelligence Architect to ensure consistent concepts are applied within BI, globally.
 
 
Profile
 
·         You have a Bachelor or Master Degree (preferably in Informatics) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in technology projects.
·         You have minimum 2 years of experience in data architecture and business analysis, or data analyst experience on Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse type projects.
·         You have a strong understanding of both physical and logical data modeling.
·         Expertise with Inmon and Kimball approaches to data warehouse is an asset.
·         You have good knowledge of Cognos. Knowledge of Informatica and Teradata is an asset.
·         You are eager to learn and have good communication skills (oral and written).
·         You are strong in critical analysis of processes and problems and creative in problem solving.
·         You will work in an international environment and are willing to travel in Europe on an occasional basis (10% of your time).
·         You are fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an asset.
