Research Associate (System Dynamics) (m/f)
 
Function:
 
·         Definition of the most appropriate engine simulation software on the market
·         Responsibility for the development and characterisation of such software internally and/ or with software owners / developers
·         Responsibility for the use of such software and evaluation of results
·         Definition of the effect of future engine technology on our current product range
·         Definition of the requirements for new products to meet future needs
·         Providing training and support internally and externally in the area of expertise
·         Required to attend seminars and conferences on the subject matter and may be required to present at such conferences
·         Strategic plan input.
 
 
Profile:
 
·         University degree in mechanical engineering
·         8-10 years‘ experience in the power transmission/engine manufacturing industry.Very good understanding of the fundamentals of engine and powertrain dynamics, vibrations and NVH from valve train, camshaft, crankshaft to the drive train
·         MSc plus 6 years‘ experience or PhD plus 3 years‘ experience
·         Experience in working in global cross-functional teams
·         Fluent in English; knowledge of German and French is an asset
·         Some travel necessary (approx. 10%).
