For the Advanced System Development group based in our Aachen Technical Centre we have a vacancy for an

Advanced Product Engineer Electro-mechanical

(m/f)

Function:

· Definition of trends relating to the application of electronics to future engine and vechicle technology

· Definition of opportunities to apply current products to current vehicle technology and to hybrid and fully electric vehicles

· Responsible for the development of ideas and concepts to apply electronics technology to the current and future vehicle markets

· Responsible for the development of prototype components and test methods for such technology

· Providing training and support internally and externally in the area of expertise

· Required to attend seminars and conferences on the subject matter and may be required to present at such conferences

· Strategic plan input.

Profile:

· Degree in mechanical engineering

· 8-10 years‘ experience in the power transmission/engine manufacturing industry. Very good understanding of the fundamentals of engine and powertrain dynamics, vibrations and NVH from valve train, camshaft, crankshaft to the drive train

· MSc plus 6 years‘ experience or PhD plus 3 years‘ experience

· Experience in working in global cross-functional teams

· Fluent in English; knowledge of German and French is an asset

· Some travel necessary (approx. 10%).
