Hose Monitoring, Diagnostics & Identification
Monitoring the condition and performance of hydraulic hose systems is critical to keeping costs down and productivity up across many industries — from construction and mining to marine and oilfield.

Gates now offers Sentry^™ Services, a comprehensive solution that helps fleet managers and equipment operators avoid hydraulic hose failure, estimate remaining hose life and identify hoses for replacement. It consists of two components, Sentry^™ IQ Service and Sentry^™ ID Service.

Sentry IQ Service
Sentry IQ uses a network of sensors to continuously monitor pressure and temperature of a hydraulic assembly to gauge remaining hose life. Critical data is provided and warnings issued to distributors and end users based on a pre-established set of reporting parameters before hose failure occurs.

	Sentry ID Service Sentry ID is a radio frequency (RF) tagging system that identifies and tracks specific hose assemblies operating worldwide. Hose assembly data is stored in high-frequency tags attached to each assembly, allowing field service personnel using hand-held RFID readers easy access to specs. Data is read on-site and/or synchronized with a database, allowing for quick location, repair or replacement and minimizing downtime.
