All good things come in threes… For the third time in a row Gates wins Supplier Award at GAUI

For three consecutive years, Gates European Automotive Aftermarket has won the Gold Supplier Award at Groupauto Union International (GAUI), the international distributors’ network of spare parts and services for cars and trucks.  The award was presented at the GAUI Conference taking place in Paris, May 22.

The selection for the GAUI Supplier of the Year was based on supplier measurements in 16 categories. Gates scored particularly high in the categories product quality, product range, stock availability, sales and marketing support and delivery accuracy. With its high score Gates has not only made a significant progress, about 20% in comparison to 2005, but also scored substantially higher than second place supplier Federal Mogul. Kayaba ended third.

With 19 groups in 20 countries, and about to enter Brazil, GAUI is one of the major leaders in the international Independent Automobile Distribution market. Therefore Giorgio Brusco, Vice President Automotive Aftermarket Europe at Gates admitted to be very proud to receive this recognition for the third time in a row from a leading marketing organization such as GAUI. He commented: ‘This recognition by one of the major automotive aftermarket trading groups in Europe is an outstanding achievement, and could only be obtained thanks to the dedicated work of all Gates associates throughout the European Operations.’ The award was presented to Brusco by Gérard Leduc, President and CEO at GAUI and Philippe Guyot, Deputy General Manager at GAUI.
